Project draws the attention of students in Belém to the high rate of hazing to emergency services.
From January to June of this year, the call center of the Integrated Operations Center 190 in Belém, Pará, registered more than 45 thousand false calls.
To avoid fraudulent calls to the 190 emergency and urgent care service, the “Amigos do Ciop” Project reaches its second edition.
The idea is to provide students with information about the high rate of prank calls and the performance of these professionals, in addition to showing how false connections cause harm to the population. When a distress call arrives, a team is deployed. And if it's a prank call, the attendant fails to handle a real case.
This time, the project was carried out with students from the Professor Camilo Salgado State School, in the Jurunas neighborhood.
Students attended an awareness lecture about the consequences of hazing; and they had the opportunity to visit the building where the Operations Center is located, so that they could see up close and understand the flow of care.
