Text for questions 01 to 06
A shepherd used to take his flock out of the village. One day he decided to play a trick on the neighbors.
- A wolf! Help! Help-me! He will eat my sheep! The young people and adults in the neighborhood had quit their jobs and ran out into the fields to help the boy. But they found him laughing. There was no wolf.
yet again he did the same joke and everyone came to help; it's him joked of all.
But one day the wolf actually appeared and started attacking the sheep. Scared to death, the boy wanted to run away.
- A wolf! A wolf! Help!
Neighbors listened but thought she was being teased. No one helped and the shepherd lost all the flock.

Text for questions 07 to 11
Why do people lie? Is lying normal?
Dr Olga Inês Tessari: The lie, unfortunately, is part of life and is often a necessary evil to avoid problems greater, whether in family relationships, work, friendship or even relationships affective. The person's goal, when lying, is to avoid suffering.
What motivates them to lie?
In general, people use lies to protect themselves, to avoid fights, arguments, confusions, to make themselves important or to feel belonging to a group, among others factors. I had the case of a girl who lied saying she had a boyfriend, although that wasn't true, just to feeling that I was part of a group of friends at work, all with steady partners (boyfriends, boyfriends or husbands). In other situations, to display a status, a person may lie to feel 'equal' to their peers. For example: saying that you were traveling to the Northeast (when in fact you went to Santos or you didn't even travel to nowhere), just to feel at the same 'level' as your colleagues who on vacation traveled through Brazil and/or outside. Often, the lie reveals a person's insecurity to assume himself as he is, revealing low self-esteem.
What might be the consequences of lying to the person and to whom he has lied?
Dr Olga Inês Tessari: Everything will depend on the lie told. Sometimes, a "little lie" doesn't hurt anyone, on the contrary, it even helps to avoid fights and arguments, as in the case of the person who lies not to reveal that he was talking to friends, precisely to avoid conflicts with his wife who is jealous of him being with friends.
Can a lie do more damage? Which are the most dangerous?
Dr Olga Inês Tessari: The worst damage a lie can do is when it is discovered! No matter the size of the lie or the reasons that led the person to lie, the lying person is seen with suspicion and loses credibility. And often, in addition to all the difficulties she has in trying to regain lost trust, this person may lose to always living with certain people, their job, etc... That is, the discovery of a lie can generate a radical change in the life of a people.
What stage of life do you most lie to?
Dr Olga Inês Tessari: There is no stage where you lie more, everything will depend on the person's profile and the situations in which they live and feel forced to lie to protect themselves from a greater evil.
There is even an exclusive day for lying. What makes it so “valued”?
Dr Olga Inês Tessari: There are several explanations for the emergence of April Fool's Day. One of them tells that, in 1564, the King of France Charles IX determined that the New Year was celebrated on the day January 1st, after the adoption of the Gregorian calendar, and this was followed by several other countries Europeans. New Year used to be celebrated on April 1st. The change caused a lot of confusion and some French decided to keep the tradition, but in a mocking way: the funny people sent gifts. April Fools' Day is still seen in a mocking and playful way.
