Complementing with the data of the 8.9% drop in ham eating occasions, this means more of this sausage eaten per meal.
The drop in dairy intake occurs due to the increase in the price of the food. From June 2022 to June 2023, cheese saw an increase of 30.5% in its purchase cost.
Thus, the cheese reached an average of R$44.05 per kilo, which makes the ham stand out. This sausage increased by just 15.2%, reaching an average price of R$28.86 per kilo.
