Piedade do Rio Grande is a place prone to ecotourism due to its privileged position, in the Campos das Vertentes region, 185 km from Belo Horizonte.
Bathed by the Rio Grande and flanked by lakes, caves and beautiful waterfalls, the city is much visited by fishing and canoeing practitioners.
The Serra do Wenceslau, in addition to vast and admirable panoramic scenarios, offers a camping area for tourists.
Praça Salvador Lourenço is home to the famous Nossa Senhora do Rosário Church, which, with its neo-Gothic style, stands out from the urban landscape.
The square also hosts the most diverse cultural events in the city, such as the famous handicraft fair.
Taking place every first Sunday of the month, the fair brings basketwork, embroidery, knitting, crochet, loom, among several other items and utensils that are produced in the city.
