The Zebra family has just brought a beautiful pine tree into the living room.
– It's time for the current of desires! - Mom Zebra calls.
Dad, the twins and Sujinho, the hyena, run to the kitchen table.
– We make a wish-chain every year – Dad explains to Sujinho – I'll write our wishes on strips of colored paper. Then I'm going to make a paper chain out of them to decorate our tree.

– I wish everyone could be as happy as I am! - Dirty laughs, smiling at the zebras.
– I wish that Sujinho could spend all Christmases with us! exclaims Zig.
Daddy writes fast.
'I want chocolate,' Zag says, giggling.
Mom laughs and starts making some strips. It's Dad's turn.
“I wish everyone had lots of love,” he says, hugging Mom.
“I wish I could see the goldfish,” Zag declares excitedly.
Everyone nods.
- I wish to look like my beautiful little twin sister, Zag! - Zig exclaims. Zag doesn't know what to say.
- I wish I could think of another wish! – Zag suddenly yells. And everyone laughs and claps their hands.
They continue to place orders and write them down until they have a long chain of paper.
“Now, let's put our chain on the tree,” Mom says.
They wrap the branches with strips of paper.
- You're beautiful! And I still have one more wish – Mom says – I wish all our wishes come true!
