the football match

– Welcome to the first football championship on Ilha dos Pirilampos! – announces Mr. Ptero through Mr. Horse's speaker. His voice echoes.
Mr. Ptero is the announcer for the day. Mr. Horse, the mayor, is in the position of goalkeeper for the red team.
– Come on, team! – says the captain of the red team, the zebra Zag – Let's do our best!
– Come on, team! – says the captain of the blue team, the snake Silvia – We'll do it!

The game begins.
“Adults are quick, but children play better”, thinks Mr. Cavalo, in the goal. Suddenly, the snake Silvia kicks a ball into the red goal. The ball goes through Mr. Horse straight into the net!
– Goooooooo! Blues score a point! – announces Mr. Ptero over the speaker.
Monkey Ivo is nervous like a blue goalkeeper.
“I hope they don't kick towards my goal,” he thinks. But here come the reds, advancing towards him. Zag kicks and… Goal!
– The reds score a point! - Shouts Mr. Ptero.
- It is tied!
The game is almost over.
– Come on, red ones! Let's make more goals! shouts Captain Zag.
Whoops! Zag scores another goal!
Ivo falls to the ground. He passes out from the excitement. But, little by little, it gets up.
'Glad we're done,' he says, 'at least I did my best.
– The reds scored two points! – announces Mr. Ptero – And the time is up! The game ends! The Reds Win!
– loup! - scream all the reds.
Zag is so happy!
