Do you know what NASA is?

NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) is a United States Federal Government agency responsible for research and development of exploration technologies and programs space. Its official mission is to “foster the future in space research, discovery and exploration”. NASA was created on July 29, 1958, replacing its predecessor, the NACA - National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics. NASA was responsible for sending man to the moon (see project Apollo) and for several other space research programs. It currently works together with the European Space Agency, the Russian Federal Space Agency and some other countries in Asia to create the International Space Station.

NASA has also developed several programs with satellites and space research probes that have traveled to other planets and even, some of them, if prepare to leave our solar system, the next big goal, which has been attracting everyone's attention, being a manned trip to the planet Mars, our neighbor.
