After observing himself in the waters of a stream, the peacock went to the owl to lament:
– Mistress Owl, the lady who is wise, tell me why I don't have a beautiful corner like the nightingale?
The owl then replied:
– Don't be angry, peacock! Watch your feathers, how beautiful they are!
– But what good are beautiful feathers, I wanted to sing! - Said the peacock.
The owl, then explained to him that you can't have everything you want, said that the nightingale had the beautiful voice, the eagle the keen eyesight, the hawk the agility… And that he had the beauty. Thus, each one needs to value what is best.
