Text I – Kiss is good – Sandy and Junior

I want more than one

More than a thousand and a thousand and one

a kiss is very good

more than a thousand is more than good

a kiss when it's given

have to be passionate

It can even be stolen

Wherever you are, it's good right?

good fruit kiss

or coffee kiss

It doesn't matter that much

can be bubble gum

It depends on the way

to please me

have to have respect

when to kiss me

I want more than one

More than a thousand and a thousand and one

a kiss is very good

more than a thousand is more than good

a kiss when it's given

have to be passionate

It can even be stolen

Wherever you are, it's good right?

Whoever knows how to love, take me

no cheating

kiss without love doesn't do

Come on, it takes a no

Whoever knows how to love takes me

That's how it's supposed to be

I have sense, I know how to take care of myself

I want more than one

More than a thousand and a thousand and one

a kiss is very good

more than a thousand is more than good

if in thought comes

someone's memories

if love doesn't resist

so call me

look what kissing does

We like and run after

In the beginning it's very good

but it's better in the end

I want more than one

More than a thousand and a thousand and one

a kiss is very good

more than a thousand is more than good

a kiss when it's given

have to be passionate

It can even be stolen

Wherever you are, it's good right?

Text II - Ø ρriмєirø bєijø

blank“My first kiss happened last year when I was 14 years old. I liked Mateus a lot, a boy in my class, but I had never kissed and I was afraid of being with him and doing everything wrong. At a ballad, I met Lucas, a friend of his, very cool. We talked and got kind of interested in each other. After that we ended up meeting several times and we became friends. One day we ended up kissing after a conversation about being afraid to kiss. It was really weird. None of us really knew what to do. And I don't think any of us could really enjoy it because we didn't really know what we were doing. Really, I thought it was too wet a kiss. We were very embarrassed after that and agreed that it wouldn't happen again. In the end, it was kind of sad because I really liked Mateus and I realized that I ended up kissing Lucas because I wanted to try and learn how to kiss properly so I wouldn't hurt the boy I really liked. With this nonsense, I ended up missing the chance to give my first kiss to someone I really liked."

AC – São Paulo.

Questions

After listening to the music and reading the text II answer:

1) According to text I, can the kiss be given anyway? Explain.

2) Does the lyrical self of text I say that “kiss is very good”, but are there any restrictions for this kiss to be really enjoyed? Give examples.

3) Do you agree with the statement that the lyrical self makes in text I that: “Kiss without love is useless…”? Comment.

4) Text I is a song by the former duo Sandy and Junior and text II presents a personal statement that was published in an online magazine for young people. What do the two texts have in common? Explain.

5) Is it possible to know the real name of the author of the text “The first kiss”? Because?

6) What is being reported in text II? Explain.

7) According to the character in text II, why was the experience of the first kiss strange? Explain.

8) When analyzing the testimony of the character in text II when she says that the experience of the first kiss “was strange” with the statements in text I. What was missing for the experience of the first kiss to be good and interesting?

9) Do you think there is an advantage or importance in reporting our life experiences? Because?

10) There are many types of reports of life experiences: those that talk about more intimate events, those that relate events of professional life, those who tell only one episode or those who talk about various events that marked a phase of the life of the people. Now it's your turn to prepare a statement on the topic covered in the music and text II. It can also be an experience of first love or a “cheat” you have lived in front of your lover. It is not necessary to write her name. When the whole class is finished, you can prepare a panel in the classroom, where all the “cheeks” or the most sentimental statements will be placed.

Good production!
