Rodrigo Alvarez (Rio de Janeiro, 06/08/1974) has a degree in journalism from PUC and a postgraduate degree in business from IBMEC. His idea when he started college, though, was to be a writer; until the sixth period, when fellow ______ college convinced him to take a test for GloboNews, which was about to open. Rodrigo Alvarez started his career as an image editor at GloboNews in 1996. He held the position until 1999, at Jornal das Dez, when he started working as a reporter. In 2006, he became a Globo correspondent in New York. In 2010, he returned to Brazil and started reporting for Fantástico. TV Globo's Middle East correspondent since February 2013, he has been prominent in coverage of the Israel-Palestine conflict.
