Ludmila was very cute and cheerful, she liked to run on the snow, jumping as fast as she could, going straight to her mother Gertrude. Contented, Ludmila enjoyed her mother's caresses. She was hungry from playing, and wanted some milk. But Mother Gertrude was very worried… She could only smell the hunters, because the seals could not hear. Seeing that they were very close, Gertrude and Ludmila ran very fast. So scary! They hid inside an ice cave. The hunters wanted Ludmila's skin warm. So the two stayed quiet and the hunters passed without seeing them. Ufa! Seeing that they were gone, Ludmila ran off to take a dip and threw a lot of water over the top. What happiness!
