1) Connect each subject to its predicate, according to the story:
predicate subjects
Everyone started to laugh.
The doctor swallowed and unwrapped the cap.
A guard swallows a beer cap?
I thought I swallowed the whistle.
Who surrounded the girl, nervous and anxious.

2) Form prayers from the words below. Those on the left will be the subjects; those on the right are the verbs that will be part of the predicate:

a) Leonora/birthday
b) Girl/affirm
c) Father/summon
d) Doctor/examine
e) Family/celebrating

3) Underline the predicates of the prayers below:

a) Leonora was six years old.

4) Add a predicate to each subject:
