Early dating among young people generates discussion between parents and children

“Every girl who gets sick of the doll is the sign that love has already reached her heart”. This famous song by Luiz Gonzaga has been a reality in the lives of many teenagers. Boys and girls between 12 and 16 years old have entered into serious relationships earlier and earlier. And June 12th will be the first Valentine's Day for many of them.

Laryssa Oliveira, 12 years old, and Matheus Henrique, 14 years old, have been together for 6 months. This is the couple's first date and consequently it will be the first time the lovebirds will celebrate Valentine's Day. The student says that she preferred to tell her mother about the beginning of her relationship with Matheus.
“I met him at the church I'm attending. We started dating and since then I realized that something was going on between us. I am very close to my mother and I didn't want to hide this situation from her. Even though I was very young, my mother accepted the relationship and we're good together, I don't regret having opened the game. Today, I'm dating at home and I don't have to hide anything from anyone”, says Oliveira.
