NAME:

the wise heron

There was once a very wise heron who lived near a lake. Neighbors took her advice all the time and she was famous for her wisdom. Once, a panther ran up to the heron. His paw had been bitten by a weasel. The heron advised to put some mud on the wound and keep it covered. The panther soon felt better and gave a fish to the heron as a gift for help. Nearby, there was a bad wolf who didn't believe the heron was wise. He didn't like her. One day, a bear cub caught a fish. The wolf snatched the fish away and swallowed it. A fish bone got stuck in the wolf's throat. He was in a lot of pain. Desperately looking for help, he went to the heron. He promised her a great gift if she would help him. The heron asked the wolf to keep his mouth open as she placed her long beak inside his throat to pull his spine. The logo felt much better after the fishbone came out. The heron then asked him about the gift he had promised. The wolf said he had been generous in not taking the opportunity to kill her. This kind gesture was a great gift to her. Saying this, he quickly left. The heron was very sad to hear the wolf's words. But soon she realized that he might indeed have hurt her. So, she didn't make much of the incident and continued to help everyone who needed it.
