Architect's Day is celebrated on December 15th

THE Architecture it is the art and technique of designing a building or a building environment. In Brazil there is a day to honor these professionals who give color and structure to various projects. this day is called Architect's Day, and is celebrated on the day December 15th.

In July, the International Day of Architecture, on the 1st.

In day December 15, 2011, O Council of Architecture and Urbanism of Brazil (CAU/BR), established through the 8th Resolution, this day to celebrate the Architect's Day.

Origin of the Architect's Day

Why was December 15th chosen? This date was chosen because it was the birth of the distinguished Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer, responsible for thinking and designing several buildings and monuments that are icons of modern architecture. Niemeyer is an inspiration to many architects around the world!

It used to be celebrated on the day December 11th, because it was the day that engineering and architecture courses were regulated and made official here in Brazil.

Is Architect's Day a holiday?

Do not. Despite being a super important date, she it is not considered a national holiday in Brazil.
