Synonymous with beautiful waterfalls, the city of Carrancas is located in the southern region of Minas Gerais, 286 km from Belo Horizonte. Wherever visitors walk, they will always find at least a small spring or a small well.
There are more than 30 mapped attractions and around 60 natural attractions near the city, such as mountain ranges, caves, wells and waterfalls. Some waterfalls are easily accessible, ideal for going with the family.
Others are reached through narrower trails and steep climbs, inviting for adventure lovers. Therefore, the municipality was considered one of the most recent ecotourism hubs in the state.
In addition to tours for fun and adventure, Carrancas also has a natural diversity that delights: butterflies, seriemas, tegus, partridges, herons, lizards, armadillos, hares, foxes, capybaras, pacas, among others animals.
The city still owns a rich vegetation. Due to the various attractions, Carrancas has many accommodation options, including inns, farm hotels and campsites.
