As well as the docker's day it's the Doctor's Day, O painter's day it's celebrated annually in Brazil, in day October 18th.
In order to honor all painters, not just those who work with works of art, but also all and any professional who works with the ability to change surfaces, through colors, textures and language own.
In honor of St. Luke the Evangelist the October 18th was chosen to celebrate the painter's day.
Saint Luke the Evangelist is, second, the tradition, the author of the Gospel of Saint Luke and the Acts of the Apostles - the third and fifth books of the New Testament. He is the patron saint of painters, doctors, artists.
The first painting of the Virgin Mary is attributed to him.

The Painter's Day exists to remember, value and exalt people like you, who since childhood have been painting the walls, papers and boxes that we forgot around the house. My wish is that you continue to develop this talent that has always been natural.
