The best cities in Brazil to live in old age

The IDL assessment was developed by the Mongeral Aegon Longevity Institute, which brought together specialists in the subject. In the survey, forty Brazilian cities with a competitive advantage in elderly care were chosen. In these places, the standard of living is exemplary and serves as a model for other important cities. Some aspects of these cities, such as employment and leisure opportunities for those who still choose to maintain their current activities, were also observed.

Florianopolis (SC)

The city with one of the highest HDI (Human Development Index) in Brazil stands out for its creativity by offering numerous leisure options. Florianópolis will meet the expectations of those who still want to work and have fun in tourist destinations. In addition, the capital of Santa Catarina is known for having educated people, and in the summer it's sunny to enjoy the island's beaches.

Santos (SP)

Violence problems decrease with good income distribution, and health services are adapted to the elderly population. With so many cultural options available in the coastal region, the beach can be an excellent place to relax for seniors.

Porto Alegre (RS)

Most residential units are available for seniors, and access to caregivers and personal nurses is straightforward. The city is accessible, in addition to having several beautiful landscapes and good infrastructure.
