We selected in this post several Drawings to color the environment. These are excellent resources for working the world environment week, with students from the early grades (Child education).
But first, let's learn a little more about World Environment Week.
Did you know that the Environment Week starts in the day June 1st and runs until 5th, day that is annually celebrated the Environmental Day?
The creation of the date was in December 1972, due to a meeting promoted by UN (United Nations), in order to address environmental issues, which encompass the planet, better known as the United Nations conference.
The importance of the date is due to the discussions that open about air, soil and water pollution; logging; reduction of biodiversity and drinking water for human consumption, destruction of the ozone layer, destruction of plant and forest species, extinction of animals, among others.
World Environment Day, also known as WED, calls the attention and political action of peoples and countries to increase awareness and environmental preservation. Through WED, the UN Program for the Environment personalizes environmental issues and makes it possible for everyone to perceive not only their own responsibility, but also the power to become an agent for change, supporting a fairer and more sustainable.
WED is also a day to promote a cleaner and greener world for you and future generations, for more information see UNEP.
