We selected in this post some suggestions for your Women's Day Wall – March 8th.
Before being decreed the International Women's Day, there was a fact that helped drive the creation of the date. There were many fights involving women. However, the one that marked the most was 1911, in March, on the 25th.
Demands for better working conditions were constantly made, until one day, a factory where the majority of workers were women ended up suffering from a fire. More than 100 women were killed due to precarious jobs, especially in industries.
What was the result? Immediate changes were made to labor laws.
A short time later, there was also the creation of theInternational Women's Day.
The date chosen was March 8th, because the beginning was on that date. So, the courageous struggle of the first women who sought only equal rights is commemorated.
