New studies carried out by NASA researchers indicate several problems that can be caused if the planet continues with high thermals.
The progress in the research was obtained through calculations in computer simulations and indicates the main consequences of the predicted increase of 2 °C in the global temperature.

According to the information released, the occurrence of temperature increase may occur within the next few decades, from 2040.
In this way, indicating that the situation may indeed get worse if preventive measures to combat the climate emergency do not become more effective from now on.
The information disclosed by the study in the NASA show that the impacts will be much larger than just imagined on Earth's temperature.
Therefore, reinforcing that the result of this generalized thermal increase, in certain places, can be extremely harmful to the environment and the population.
One of the worrying discoveries is the fact that, under this projection, the North and Midwest regions of Brazil emerge as areas highly susceptible to these effects.
The NASA study was prepared by Taejin Park, Ramakrishna Nemani and Ian Brosnan, members of the Ames Research Center, located in California.
This research is different from others carried out with computer simulations based on past and present climate, combined with the trajectories of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions,
The new work stands out for its “increased resolution” approach to future projections.

It is important to mention that several climate models that are currently used have a resolution that divides the Earth's surface into quadrants around 200 km on each side.
However, the recently published NASA study by Park and his collaborators examines in detail the effects in quadrants measuring 25 km on a side.
According to the information disclosed, refinement in the research based on smaller regions may be more accurate in terms of local impacts.
In this way, it is able to provide more detail about the severity of events that will follow, should climate change continue to happen.
According to the research, in addition to the evident thermal rise, other facts analyzed are the intensity of the rains, droughts and the speed of progression of the problems.
One of the terms used by researchers is “fire weather”, which indicates the high possibility of spontaneous fires.
However, according to the data evaluated by NASA, the most affected places will be countries located close to the tropics, such as Brazil.
In this way, the problems already present in these areas with the high temperature, lack of rain and consequent long periods of drought.
