August 8th was established as International Cat Day. Created in 2002 by the International Fund For Animal Welfare, the celebration aims to debate and make the guardians aware of how to properly care for their felines, ensuring their well-being. The date was not created simply to value this cute animal, but to raise awareness among the population of needs and characteristics of the species, in order to reduce the number of cases of abuse and prejudice against the pussy.
