Explosion in a vessel in Acre leaves 15 injured. Civil Police investigates causes of the accident.
This Saturday, Acre's civil police agents resumed investigations at the scene of the accident, in the municipality of Cruzeiro do Sul, in the state of Acre.
Fifteen people were injured, after the flames took over the vessel, like barge, in the early evening of Friday (7).
The boat transported goods, passengers and fuel to the cities of Porto Walter and Marshal Thaumaturgo. Among the wounded are two children. One of them was sent to the capital Rio Branco.
Also among the injured are ten men and three women. Seven people are in serious condition and eight in very serious condition, intubated and with 80 to 90% of their body burned.
According to the Fire Department of Acre, the victims of the fire were taken to the Juruá Hospital by the Samu team. The vessel would have exploded while the fuel supply was taking place.
