Activities with Stamp of Hands – How to work

Below are some tips and ideas for doing these Activities with Stamp of Hands:

• Ask the children to look at their hands. Count on them how many fingers they have.
• Sing with the children, making the gestures of the song “Palminhas, palminhas”.
• Also propose the song “Bata Palmas”. Sing with the children, repeating the movements of the song.
• Introduce the children to the activity proposed on the form: “Shall we stamp the little hands?” Put gouache paint on each child's hand and guide them to stamp their hands on the chart shown.
• If possible, you can even help them create designs from the stamp of their hands or fingers, such as a butterfly, a flower, a duck, etc.
• Propose to students the problem: “Hands to…”. Ask them what we can do with our hands. Encourage them to raise hypotheses such as: “we use our hands to paint, comb our hair, pick things up etc”.
• Prepare a box with various objects: toys, cotton, fabric, sandpaper, stone, etc. Close the box, leaving a space for the children to put their hands and try to guess, through touch, what is inside the box.
• Draw eyes, nose and mouth on children's fingers. Play and sing the song “Dedinhos” with them.
• Develop activities with the children using their hands, such as finger painting, painting with pieces of newspaper, gluing with sand, eggshells, making play dough, etc.
• Before ending the class, organize a circle with the children and show how each one's activity turned out, with their little hands printed. Explore the size of the hands, the colors used and let the children interact with each other by touching and comparing their hands.
