Goals

  • Demonstrate the importance of cultivating friends inside and outside of school.
  • Cultivate good habits of coexistence and love within the family.
  • Encourage mutual respect through shared group activities.
  • Decrease the degree of aggressiveness in the relationship between students.
  • Learn and know how to respect the physical and psychological differences that exist between people.
  • Know the different ways that friendships can be established with animals, plants, etc. Introduce the study of animals, emphasizing the friendship we can have for them.

Cross themes

Ethic: Dialogue, mutual respect, solidarity. Raising awareness and valuing colleagues, teachers and school employees as an instrument to clarify the contents.


Use and appreciation of dialogue as an instrument to clarify disagreements.

Health: Active participation in the conservation of animal health and food. The development of healthy physical and mental hygiene habits.

Environment: To form conscientious citizens, able to decide and act in the socio-environmental reality.

Cultural plurality: Different ways of transmitting knowledge and educational practices in different cultures. Friendship relationships, valuing the freedom to choose socio-affective bonds as an element of freedom of conscience and association. Citizenship: individual and collective rights and duties.

  • Gouache paint and brush for drawings on the paper strips.

Procedures

First step:

  • Awareness
  • This work seeks to develop the learning of human values ​​of unity, fraternity, friendship, companionship, respect and love for others through situations shared in groups.

Second stage

  • To stimulate students' creativity, three posters were created with the suggestive theme: School, Family and Society.
  • At the beginning of the class, read a poem of thanks for our classmates, our friends and our family.
  • Working on human values ​​on a day-to-day basis. Every day, paste a suggestive phrase referring to the topic to the students' diaries. Encourage shared reading through books on the subject, also emphasizing love of neighbor. Circle the classroom (change desk placement, if possible).

 third step

  • Choose a book from the Mundo da Criança Collection, Series of songs to read: Watercolor, The notebook, The bicycle or Errar é Human, by Companhia Editora Nacional.
  • Ask students what they understand about the story and how we can do to respect the differences among our peers. Emphasize the need to help each other and always live in unity. It's good to know how to work with your colleague.
  • Develop problem situations for students to discuss the best way to solve them. For example: How to solve a fight during a game or joke?
  • Why are there children who work or beg in the street? What is the solution to this problem? Students meet in pairs and receive to read a book from the Olhar e Ver Collection: Life in Society, The world of work, Children or Influences. Explain that each one has its own characteristics and how important it is for people to know how to respect them.
  • After the reading, each member of the pair writes a note to the other. Then, each student reads the note they received aloud and places it on the PANEL DOS FRIENDS (a poster on bond paper with the small envelopes glued together). Paste ticket and envelope.

 Fourth stage of the Geography Project Life in Society

  • Introduce the study of animals, talking to students about the importance of caring for them with care. Talk about the friendship that some animals have with people (the bird and the dog, for example).
  • Talk to students and explain that we can also be friends with plants. Explain that they repay good care with refreshing shades, beautiful flowers and, some of them, delicious fruit. Exhibiting the banners around the school in order to transform it into a space for exchanging friendships and interacting with human values.

Interdisciplinary activities 

Sciences: Study of animals and friendship.

Artistic education: To develop creativity and work as a team, students sit around the banner and paint with gouache and brush the drawings with the theme of the project A VIDA EM SOCIETY.

Portuguese: Reading and interpretation of stories.

Song: Working on several songs that talk about values.
