Look at this sad thing: man is the only living being that destroys the environment in which he lives. No other inhabitant on the planet pollutes the air, contaminates the water, devastates forests...
Cities are the work and housing centers for most people in the world. Some even have millions of inhabitants! To supply and shelter this world of people, we consume energy, exploit many natural resources and produce a lot of garbage.
That's where the problem lies. Man's action is dangerous because it is done in large proportions. The smoke from industries, fires and cars in big cities fill the sky with toxic gases. Untreated sewage and waste produced by industries and by millions of people contaminate water and soil.
