making things right

The next morning, Babi remembers the disaster of the book in the bathtub. She still feels terrible as she eats breakfast.
Mom helps her get ready to go to Mrs. Dino and buy a new book for the Zig and Zag zebras.
“Here's some money,” Mom says.
“I'm really upset, Mom,” Babi replies, ready to cry again.
“You can help me with some work today to pay for the new book,” Mom suggests.

- Ah, that's good! – Babi agrees and leaves on the way to the variety store.
She buys a book similar to the one she dropped in the bathtub. Maybe it's even prettier. Back home, she and Mom wrap the book as a gift. Babi tells Mom what she wants to write on the card and then heads to Zig and Zag's house.
– I was very sad – Babi says to the twin zebras – I ruined your book, so I bought another one. Hope you like it. I'm never taking a book in the bathtub again. Zig and Zag open the package and just love the new book.
“But Babi, you don't have to feel so bad,” Zig says, laughing.
Zag agrees:
- Our aunt bought a book like the one you borrowed for each of us. So we still have one that's dry!
