NAME:
– Today is washing day! – Grandma Dino says to Grandpa Dino while they're having breakfast. – Please see if you have put all your dirty clothes in the hamper.
– Okay, darling – Grandpa smiles. – Do you want me to help you?
'Oh no thanks,' she laughs.
'Let me know if you need to,' he says before heading out towards the vegetable garden.
Grandma puts the dirty clothes in the washing machine and adds soap. She turns on the machine, which starts washing. Soon the clothes are clean.
“Now, I'm going to hang them outside to dry. It's windy so they'll dry quickly,” she thinks.
She takes the laundry basket to the clothesline near the vegetable garden and hangs them all up.
- Ready! I finished! I'll make soup for our lunch while they dry.
She splits vegetables from Dino's garden and makes a wonderful cauldron of soup.
“Just about time to get the dry clothes inside before we eat lunch,” she thinks. She takes the laundry basket to the clothesline. All of them are gone!
- What is happening? - She screams.
Grandpa listens to her and comes running
– All the clothes are gone! - She exclaims.
– Ah, that explains everything! - Grandpa laughs. He takes Grandma's hand and leads her to the far side of the garden.
- I think you forgot to use the pegs, dear. Clothes flew all over the bushes!
– Oh, what a fool I am! - Granny laughs. – But the good news is that they are all dry!
