Psychologist explains the intensity of feelings at this stage of life and warns about the importance of guidance
Nacional Jovem interviews Ellen Moraes Senra, a psychologist who specializes in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, who talks about romantic relationships in adolescence.
According to her, the young person usually feels misunderstood and when he finds someone who welcomes this emotion, he surrenders completely. “This is very natural. We adults who, after a few strokes of life, learn to protect ourselves a little more”.
For Ellen, this relationship ceases to be healthy when dependence, jealousy and excessive control of one another begin to exist. “It is natural that the teenager is stuck for much longer (in the relationship), thinking that it is synonymous with affection, affection and love, when it is nothing more than possession”, he declared.
The psychologist also warned that today young people begin to relate to each other at an early age and that they need guidance.
The program Nacional Jovem is aired from Monday to Friday, at 4 pm, on Rádio Nacional da Amazônia, and at 3 pm, on Rádio Nacional do Alto Solimões.
