Homeless and needy animals will benefit
To try to solve the overcrowding at the Taubaté Zoonoses Center, two prisons in Tremembé will start to receive dogs and cats.
The idea came from the judge, Sueli Zeraik, who works in the 1st Criminal Execution Court (VEC) of Taubaté and aims to help needy animals and promote the rehabilitation of prisoners.
According to the judge, detainees can use the work, in the care of dogs and cats, to ask for a reduction in their sentence.
