A strange phenomenon of the 1980s – among many others – was the meteoric rise of the Menudos group. Created by a music producer, the band was formed by five Puerto Rican teenagers who sang in Portuguese and performed choreographies to the sound of verses such as Get out of your mind, speak out / give a loud scream
The band also sang in Spanish and English. The reason for releasing his voice in the language of Machado de Assis was to capture the huge Brazilian market. It worked out.
