NAME:
THE EXTERNAL PART OF THE TERRESTRIAL CRUST IS CALLED SOIL, AND THAT'S WHAT WE CALL EARTH.
THE SOIL IS CONSTITUTED BY SAND, CLAY AND HUMUS, WHICH IS A MIXTURE OF DECOMPOSITIONING ANIMAL AND VEGETABLE REMAINS.
THE TERRESTRIAL CRUST IS FORMED BY:
SOIL: VERY SMALL PIECES OF ROCKS, ANIMAL AND VEGETABLE REMAINS.
UNDERGROUND: FORMED BY BIGGER ROCKS THAT ARE DECOMPOSING BEFORE TURNING SOIL.
ENTIRE ROCK.
THERE ARE SEVERAL TYPES OF SOIL, THEY ARE:
SANDY: FORMED BY LOOSE EARTH AND NOT SAFE WATER, IT IS A drier TYPE OF SOIL. SO THAT THERE IS A PLANTATION IT MUST BE WATERED.
HUMÍFERO: IT IS FORMED BY VERY SMALL PIECES OF ROCKS AND ANIMAL AND VEGETABLE REMAINS (HUMUS). IT IS GREAT SOIL FOR PLANTING.
CLAY: IT IS FORMED BY CLAY CLODS, IT IS A TYPE OF SOIL THAT IS SOAKED. TO MAKE A PLANTATION IT MUST BE DRAINED.
EARTHWORMS LIVE IN THE GROUND AND TO LIVE THEY DRILL THE GROUND FORMING GALLERIES. IT IS WITH THESE GALLERIES THE SOIL IS MORE AIRY. THE EARTHWORM EXCREMENTS FERTILIZE THE SOIL, THEREFORE, THE SOIL WITH EARTHWORMS IS RICH IN HUMUS.
