NAME:

a magic trick

The hippopotamus Horace has learned a new magic trick. He's been practicing a lot on the bathroom mirror. Today he is prepared to try it out in front of his friends.
– I can put a coin over my head!
- He announces to friends in Hideout.
Horacio takes a coin in one hand and passes it to the other. Then he seems to put a coin in one ear. He reaches out and withdraws the coin through the other ear! Everyone is surprised!

– Hey, tell us how you did it! I bet it's not real magic. It's a trick! – exclaims the snake Silvia.
“Okay… I shouldn't do this, but I'll tell you how the trick is,” smiles Horacio.
– Take a coin. Make it look like you're going from hand to hand like this. But you actually keep the coin in the first hand, acting as if it's not there. Pretend to hold a coin in your other hand – it shows you how it's done.
– Make it look like there is a coin in your empty hand.
Pretend to push the fake coin into the ear – he demonstrates slowly – Then put the first hand, the one with the coin, in the other ear. Slide the coin through your fingers and pretend to take it out of your ear. Ready! Magic!
