Woman's Day is celebrated annually on March 8th.
International Women's Day is a celebration of women's social, political and economic achievements. over the years, being adopted by the United Nations and, consequently, by several countries.
During the International Women's Congress, held in 1919, in the city of Copenhagen, Denmark, this date was chosen and made official as the ideal day for the Day. Women's International in honor of the murder of 129 women who were burned in response to a strike held at the Cotton textile factory in New York on March 8 of 1857.

The reason for the strike was a protest against a 16-hour workday, combined with low wages. In response to the demonstration, the bosses ordered the building where these women were to be set on fire.
