Proclamation of the Republic project for initial series

First moment:

• Dialogue with the class about the date: Students should put questions about the topic in a box. Soon after, everyone will read and make a list of questions and then carry out a survey. Questions are divided into pairs, groups or individually, so that students can bring answered questions within a specified period.

Second moment:

• With the answers in hand, a dialogic wheel is made, where the questions will be asked orally and the colleagues themselves will try to answer, as a way to provoke a reflective conversation about the subject matter. It is important that the teacher guides the students at all times, ensuring discipline, respect and the dynamics of the activity. Once the answers are found, a panel will be created with the theme: Everything you want to know about the Republic.

Third moment:

• Students assess the panel and say what they learned and what they still want to know. Afterwards, the teacher distributes a handout with an exercise, systematizing the subject worked on.

Important: Between one moment and another, several activities can be inserted, such as: case studies, collective and individual reading of magazine articles, newspapers, reading the republican manifesto (see excerpts below), internet research, panel with photos, research and reflection on the anthem of the Republic, etc.

Fourth moment:

• Analysis of the Brazilian Republic today: Survey of problems, advantages and disadvantages, and suggested solutions. For this activity, it is important to do all the previous steps, so that students will have subsidies to assess the facts in a reflective and dialectical way and make suggestions more confidently.

Fifth moment:

• Project Presentation: A presentation that becomes a great event, with music, playfulness, theatricality, ambient decoration, photo and video exhibition. Thus, students will learn in a participatory and pleasurable way, feeling co-creators of the country's socio-political organization.
