fables

Fables are an excellent resource for educating children in a fun and different way. They are short stories whose protagonists are usually animals or inanimate elements that they receive human characteristics to highlight certain behaviors and transmit certain teachings and values.

They are a very effective tool for promoting reflection in children and stimulating critical thinking, while giving freedom to their imagination and enhancing their creativity.

Goals

• Recognize the characteristics of a fable.
• Relate a popular proverb to the moral of a fable, from the understanding of the meaning of the text.
• Identify words written with initial “s” and “ss”, noticing the similarity of sounds produced by these uses.
• Develop reading skills: identifying explicit information in a text.
• Make comparisons.

Procedures

• Distribute activities.
• Read the fable aloud.
• Draw students' attention to the structure of the textual genre studied and build the answers collectively on the blackboard, with the exception of question 6.
• Ask students to write their answers in their notebooks.
• Before doing question 6, read another familiar fable to the students and introduce them to the moral of the story.
• Ask students to answer question 6.
• Correct question 6.
• Conduct block activities with students working the words: question 1 must be done with the mediation of the teacher.
• Ask students to complete question 2, which can be done in pairs.
• Fix question 2.
• Solve general queries.

Guidelines for the teacher

Conceptual content related to lessons 1 to 4 of the textbook:

• Fable genre: structure / intentions of the genre / study of the moral of history
• Text comprehension
• Spelling: "s" / "ss"

It is activity it consists in the construction of a book by the students themselves. Furthermore, it shows how flexible the letters are for them to get used to the idea that the same syllable can form several words with different meanings. The final product will be a toy of letters.
