São Paulo room

The Sala, headquarters of the São Paulo State Symphony Orchestra, is one of the most important concert halls in the country, inaugurated on July 9, 1999 with the presentation of Symphony No. 2, by Gustav Mahler, called Symphony Resurrection. The room is listed as a historical heritage by the Council for the Defense of the Historical, Archaeological, Artistic and Touristic Heritage of the State of São Paulo (Condephaat).

Osesp was founded in 1954 and, since 2005, it has been managed by the Osesp Foundation. As of 2020, Thierry Fischer assumes the musical director and the principal conductor of the Orchestra. His contract with Osesp continues until the end of the 2024 season.
