The cagaita (scientific name: dysenteric eugenics) is a small fruit, approximately three centimeters in diameter, with a greenish-yellow skin, succulent and acidic pulp and has up to four seeds inside.
The cagaiteira is a beautiful tree, with thick bark typical of the Cerrado and a leafy crown covered with bright green leaves, which it can reach eight meters in height and occupies areas of Cerrado da Bahia, Minas Gerais, Tocantins, Goiás, São Paulo and Mato Grosso do South.
