The animals found in caves live practically isolated, far from the wind, fire, rain and the sun, as if they were stopped in time. Some are called relictos because this word means something that has survived for many years and that brings interesting elements about the past.
Biogeographic relicts is what scientists call all the animals and all the plants that descend from beings that occupied different environments in the past, but which are currently found only in isolated environments such as mountain peaks, ancient forests and caves.
