Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. You've certainly heard of these five planets. Perhaps you don't know that they were the first planets to be discovered thousands of years ago. So much so that they were old acquaintances, for example, with the Greeks, who, at the time, were already fascinated by heaven. After the discovery of these five Earth neighbors, however, it took a long time to hear from other planets: Uranus was only found in 1781 and Neptune in 1846. These seven planets, as well as the one we inhabit, revolve around a star – the Sun – forming the Solar System.
