Gabi gets a bird

Gabi came home from school, ran to her room, changed her clothes, grabbed her dolls and went to the backyard to play. She sat up, and when she started to change the dolls' shoes, she heard a noise. Tweet tweet. Tweet tweet.
- What is that noise? - Gabi said.
No one answered, everything was silent. She looked one way, looked the other and couldn't figure out who was making the noise. Suddenly, Gabi saw her father arriving with a beautiful canary. It was a gift for Gabi, for Children's Day. She had asked for a bird. Gabi hugged her father and thanked her, saying:

– Dad, the bird is very beautiful. But I thought better of it and I'd rather see this little friend flying in the sky… Here, trapped in this cage, he won't be happy.
So, Gabi released her new little friend. And every day she could hear his singing by her window.
