One night a flea entered the house of a wealthy merchant. She went to the sleeping merchant and bit him in the back. The merchant awoke to the bite and called his servants. The servants began to look for the flea, but the flea escaped. Finding no place to hide, the flea entered a mouse hole. She asked the mouse for help. Upon hearing the flea story, the kind mouse let it stay in its hole. Only the mouse was having a problem. The merchant's servants were trying to kill him. Therefore, he couldn't go out to get food and the food he had would run out soon.
The flea made a prank. She came out and bit the merchant so hard that he yelled aloud. Hearing his scream, the servants came to his aid. In the meantime, the mouse went to the kitchen and got some food. So the flea and mouse continued to do this for a few days, until they had enough food.
