Art. 1st The Elderly Statute is instituted, aimed at regulating the rights guaranteed to people aged over 60 (sixty) years old.
Art. 2nd The elderly person enjoys all the fundamental rights inherent to the human person, without prejudice to the full protection provided for in this Law, ensuring, by law or by other means, all opportunities and facilities, for the preservation of their physical and mental health and their moral, intellectual, spiritual and social improvement, in conditions of freedom and dignity.
