the treasure island tells the story of when a mysterious sailor dies under strange circumstances at an inn and young Jim Hawkins ends up stumbled upon a chest that belongs to the man. Inside is a map pointing the way to a valuable treasure, and his bravery and cunning are put to the test.
In the company of Squire Trelawney and Dr. Livesey, Jim boards the ship Hispaniola and sets off on a dangerous adventure among cunning pirates. This story of betrayal and heroism is also an allusion to the passage from childhood to adulthood, to the loss of innocence. Faced with frightening situations, Jim comes to know his faults and limits, but also his courage.
