It is said by those who know that Daedalus was a very wise man in Greece. He was the father of Icarus.
When they were trapped in the Minotaur's labyrinth, he had the idea of building two pairs of wings for him and his son to escape from there.
Daedalus built them out of bird feathers, then glued them to wax. Before taking off, he told his son:
– Do not fly too high, near the sun the wax melts. Don't even fly too low, near the sea the humidity makes the feathers heavy and you can fall.
But the feeling of flying was so dizzying for Icarus that he forgot the recommendation and soared so high in the air that the worst happened.
The wax melted, Icarus lost his wings, fell around the Cretan sea and drowned.
