The good digital citizen needs to know how to protect their data. It is necessary to learn to create strong passwords (those that are very difficult to crack) and to keep them securely. Password with the birthday date? No way!
Another important measure is knowing how to recognize malicious emails, fake websites and other forms of internet scam. They are often gateways for computer and cell phone viruses: it only takes one click to contaminate your equipment and steal your personal data. Oh, of course, having a good antivirus also helps a lot!
Finally, it's very important to remember: just because you know everything about new technologies doesn't make you immune to scammers and abusers on the internet! Always protect yourself!
