Since he was a child, Ayrton Senna loved to drive and was already very determined. When he was four years old, he got his father's first kart, the 007. Soon, Ayrton was dedicating himself body and soul to this modality. Without forgetting the studies, of course.
One day, at the Interlagos karting track, young Ayrton Senna saw a Formula 1 car and was impressed. At that moment, he realized that a dream was born inside him: to be a Formula 1 driver.
To fulfill this dream, it was not enough to drive well. Something else was needed: determination, discipline, dedication. That's how he managed to defeat the rain. Once, Ayrton Senna was winning a test of kart when it started to rain. That's when he lost positions until he got out of the race.
He was not let down by defeat. And he decided that rain would never again hinder his performance. He trained for hours and hours, in the rain, until nightfall. He trained so hard that he achieved perfection on wet tracks. He won several races under a lot of water. He came to be known as the Rain King. With that determination, Ayrton Senna was champion in all the categories he played.
Ayrton Senna was not content only to compete. He wanted to be world champion. For that, he had to overcome himself, to do what seemed impossible. Like, for example, at the Japanese Grand Prix, 1988. When the start was given, all the cars fired. One minus: Ayrton Senna, who was the pole position. The car was stopped on the track, with the engine off! Ayrton Senna tried to get him to take it, without success.
Until, on the last possible attempt, the engine ran! Because of this problem, Senna dropped from 1st to 14th place. So he started doing what seemed impossible. It was overtaking every other car in every way imaginable. And, on the 27th lap, Senna won 1st place! With two laps to go, Senna was celebrating inside the cockpit. This victory went down in Formula 1 history. And gave the first world title to the Brazilian pilot! […]
