Between unexpected feelings, bought loyalties and the Russian mafia, young spy Paige has to decide if heroes are worth believing – and find out if, perhaps, she can also be one of them.
Paige Nolan is an unusual young woman: fluent in several languages, black belt in several fight categories and divided between three boyfriends (why stick with just one?).
But she also has a cynical side… After all, her parents are human rights activists, journalists used to denouncing the excesses of dictators and the like. For that very reason, she must have known that playing heroin in a diner in the middle of nowhere was going to end badly. Now she's being courted by a top-secret spy agency. The mission? Rescue Sean Raynes, one of Paige's heroes, now living in Russia.
Aware of the hidden interests of world governments and corporations, she would hardly want to bring the exile the man responsible for exposing the unconstitutional spying techniques used by the government American. Even though half the country considers him a traitor.
The problem is that the agency — and megacat spy Madden Carter — has inside information about the girl's parents. The same parents she believed died in the interior of Turkey, pursuing a complaint about terrorists threatening helpless nuns…
