Do I have to get up early?

From the moment popular logic unfolds before us its sequence of surprises, it is inevitable that we will see the emergence of the figure of the great Turkish storyteller, Nasreddin Hodja. He is the master in this matter. In their eyes, life is a coherent nonsense, to which it is essential that we accommodate.

So, when he was still young, his father one day told him:

– You should get up early, my son.

– And why, father?

– Because it's a very good habit. One day I ______________ at dawn and found a bag of gold on my way.

– Had someone lost it the night before?

“No, no,” said the father. – He wasn't there the night before. Otherwise I would have noticed when I got home.

“So,” said Nasreddin, “the man who lost the gold had risen even earlier. You can see that this early riser thing is not good for everyone.
