The Year of the Jump competition

The entire village showed up for the Year of the Leap competition. Mr. Horse, the mayor, climbs onto his wooden crate and makes a speech.
– Welcome to the Year of the Jump competition! It only happens every four years, so it's an exciting day. I will be the judge of marking. Please get a number and let's get started!

Each of the residents, old and young, raffles a piece of paper in a pot. The number on the slip tells you when they should jump.
– It's wonderful that each one has a different style of jumping – Babi sheep explains to Zig and Zag zebras. – My family has enthusiastic jumpers. The Dino, Tico and Hippopotamus families have a… A certain difficulty in getting off the ground.
Snakes make everyone laugh. They wriggle to the jump line and then shoot through the air like an arrow. And the residents with wings, such as the Frili penguin, the Solar toucan, the Galante rooster, Dr. Cocoró and even Sr. Ptero manage to jump very far.
Now it's Giro's turn. He runs as fast as he can, bends his front legs and pushes his back. He lands with his feet in four different directions and lands on his back.
– The best jump so far! – shouts the mayor.
But then Zig and Zag's father, Mr. Zebra, arrives. He had never heard of a competition like this. He gallops to the jump line and then simply sails through the air, landing just beyond Giro's mark.
- The winner! - Exclaims the mayor, and everyone cheers.
The newest resident is the new Jump of the Year of Jump champion.
